| Candidate CV resume: | Personal statement Professional and well organised individual with extensive experience in organisational administration and construction industry management. For the last 10 years I have been working for DWL Home Improvements Ltd. The company is a double glazing firm based in the South East and deals with projects from £2,500 to £1 million. In 2006 I was promoted to Commercial & Retail Installations Manager. The previous 6 years I was a commercial site manager. Work experience 1986-1988 After leaving secondary school, I was employed as a labourer by a roofing company where I worked for 2 years gaining valuable experience in the building industry. 1988-1989 As I took an interest in the building industry I decided a City and Guilds Certificate in Bricklaying would be beneficial. 1990-1994 After achieving the certificate I was employed as an improver for a Sevenoaks based building company who specialized in building residential properties. I remained in the firm for 4 years gaining further experience in different aspects of the construction industry. 1995-1997 I was then employed by a family run business as a foreman for a project converting outbuildings on a golf course into a holiday accommodation. This project led onto some other bigger projects, one being the conversion of a chateau into a hotel in France. 1997-1999 I was based in France for over 2 years overseeing the many different trades involved on this project, ranging from plumbers, painters and decorators, electricians, carpenters and bricklayers. During these 2 years I not only gained a great insight or managerial procedures in the building industry but knowledge of Health and Safety practices, was developed for the various trades. 2000- 2010. Once these contracts came to an end in December 1999, I was employed by DWL Home Improvements in January 2000 as a sight Manager. During my time with DWL I have attended many courses and training in Health & Safety and construction industry and I also hold CSCS card. 1993 – To present I also currently hold my class 2 HGV licence & digital tacho card ,where I have had to use on many occasions driving from LWB vans,7.5 tonne and 17.5 tonne vehicles. Interests I am computer literate. I enjoy all the aspects of football coaching and spending time with my family. |
